Elmgrove School

Elmgrove School set out to develop an attractive area at the front of their school that was inviting and fun for the school community.

Initially, the space was a blank grass area, spreading under the large Elm trees that became very muddy and unusable during the winter months, being fenced off for at least 10 weeks of the year to keep the grass alive and the mud out of the classroom.

When looking for solutions, Elmgrove School wanted the area to look natural, and chose to go for a combination of rubber surfacing, artificial grass, and rubber mulch enabling the trees to continue to thrive while tidying up the muddy areas and adding some colour.

The MulchSet and PermaPlay surfaces work together seamlessly to give a look that is natural while also being versatile and available to use all year round.

The additional Pour’n’Play surface has created bright pops of colour that incorporate leaf patterns that tie in with the Elm trees that the school works to protect. 

In built games created with Pour’n’Play can also be found, adding some fun elements of play for the students.
