Numat supplied and installed 331 m² of Pour’n’Play across the outdoor play space at Tira Ora, the new child health centre at Whangārei Hospital. The centre replaces the old children’s clinic, and Numat worked to the main contractor’s programme, pouring the surface once the dig out, edging and base were ready.
- 331m² of Pour’n’Play. Embankment, mounds, flat areas, rolled edges and step surfacing
- 15mm top layer over 25mm poured rubber shockpad, 1.37m CFH, 7-year product warranty
- 30 PlayShapes supplied and fitted. Steppers in four heights, half balls and fixed full balls, 5-year warranty
The surface is one continuous piece, flush at every edge and free draining, in a three colour Rosehill TPV blend of standard green, pink and beige. Steppers, fixed and half balls and moulded staircase coverings were manufactured in matching blends, so the play elements read as part of the surface rather than as equipment set down on it.
