Our Balance Parks are built with safety in mind. Each park comes with high quality safety surfacing that correctly meets critical fall height standards and maintains safety across the entire surface area.
It starts with play and simple movements and eventually leads to more challenging exercises and tricks. Along the way, amazing balancing and problem-solving skills develop!

Numat installed Dunedin’s first Balance Park in 2020 at Market Reserve. The striking blue and yellow surfacing stands out against the surrounding park and pays homage to the region’s traditional blue and gold colours.
Friendly Bay, Oamaru
In February 2019, Numat opened New Zealand’s first Balance Park at Friendly Bay Playground in Oamaru.
Queenstown, Central Otago
Numat worked alongside Reset Urban Design and JFC Construction to deliver Queenstown’s first destination playground.
Wanaka, Otago
In 2021, Numat worked with the Queenstown Lakes District Council and playground design company, Creo, to upgrade Wanaka’s Rotary Park Playground. The surface design called for blues, greens, and greys to match the parks surroundings.
